The world is changing, and so is Blattner.
But our mission remains the same: we’re united under a common purpose to build a better tomorrow.
In 2021, Blattner Energy and DH Blattner & Sons worked on 20-plus projects in 11 different states.
We honored eight retirees within the company in 2021. The year of service for these retirees ranged all the way up to 36 years. This shows you our employees’ dedication to living out Blattner’s Basics and Values.
As part of our Powered-Up! Culture Program, co-workers submitted 119 stories of their team members doing good by living out our basics and values. A total of 144 employees were recognized for their contributions to Blattner’s culture as part of the Powered-Up! Program.
Blattner had 269 new hires and 70 interns in 2021.
Blattner was recognized as one of Minnesota’s Best Places To Work by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal in 2021 and as a Top Solar Contractor by Solar Power World.
Where we live and work, together we gave back.
With projects across the country, we care for every community. We gave back $418,534 in 2021. Blattner’s annual food drive raised more than $240,000 and collected more than 14,000 items to help people in need.
In addition, Blattner donated $10,000 between four schools in California, Georgia, Texas and Wisconsin.
And in Central Minnesota, Blattner collaborated to bring more festoon lights to downtown St. Cloud, Minnesota. The idea behind the project was to bring light, hope and community as part of the industry milestone celebration. There are now multiple light strings running from the 900 to 600 blocks of West St. Germain Street.
Blattner celebrated a major milestone in 2021 by reaching 50,000-renewable energy megawatts. That milestone is equivalent to providing enough energy to power 14 million U.S. households or one billion light bulbs.
And possibly the brightest news of 2021 was Blattner being acquired by Quanta Services. Blattner is now an operating unit of Quanta, and together, are aligned in their focus on employees, customers and communities.
The future is bright.
