Giving Back to Service Members: Blattner’s Minnesota Warriors Hockey Showcase Celebrates Veterans

This game’s goals are not all about getting the pucks in the net. The wins on this ice are more about the teams than the trophies.

The fourth annual Blattner Minnesota Warriors Hockey Showcase raised $46,115 for the Minnesota Warriors Hockey Program through sponsorships and donations at the doubleheader event. That brings the all-time contribution total generated for the Warriors by the Showcase to $145,688.

The Minnesota Warriors’ mission is to provide a therapeutic, recreational and educational opportunity for wounded, injured or otherwise disabled veterans. The annual Showcase highlights their hockey program, fosters camaraderie among our local U.S. military veterans and is an inspiring display of resilience and unity through sport. The Showcase proceeds provide the Warriors’ players with more opportunities for traveling to tournaments, paying for ice time for practices and generally covering the cost of playing the game.

Created and coordinated by Blattner Company, this year’s doubleheader was played on Saturday, February 17, at Bernick’s Arena at the Scheels Athletic Complex in Sartell, Minnesota.

Twenty-four local businesses stepped up with monetary or in-kind donations for this year’s event. Also part of the fundraising efforts were raffle ticket and event activity sales, attendee donations and Blattner Company contributions.
