Blattner is proud to be powering the renewable energy future of the United States.
As part of its Clean Power Quarterly 2021 Quarter 4 Market Report, the American Clean Power Association (ACP) showed that the United States had surpassed more than 200 gigawatts of total operating utility-scale clean power capacity in 2021. This is the equivalent of being able to power 56 million American homes.
Blattner Company, a Quanta Services company, and the parent company of Blattner Energy and D.H. Blattner & Sons, has long envisioned a world where things are done differently, from our approach to construction to our commitment to renewable energy.
Blattner significantly makes up 25 percent of that renewable energy installed. We have set the standard for delivery, safety and quality installation while establishing the lead in driving down costs.
We’re a pioneer in the industry, having advanced renewable energy with our innovation, collaborative approach and delivery of certainty to our clients.
What 200 GW Means
This clean energy powers American jobs and economic opportunities across the country. According to the ACP, the 200-gigawatt milestone has helped provide 415,000 clean energy jobs to Americans. The clean energy produced has also avoided 86 million cars’ worth of C02 emissions.
In April 2021, Blattner announced it had reached the 50,000 renewable energy megawatts industry milestone. We thank our employees for their hard work and contributions to reach these accomplishments. The industry – and Blattner – would not be where it is today without them.
What The Future Holds
According to the ACP, 2021 was a record year for clean energy procurement announcements. Power purchases and project developers announced 5,765 megawatts of new Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) alone in the fourth quarter of 2021. That brought total contracting to 28,126 megawatts for 2021, which was a 10 percent increase from 2020.
The United States installed 27,723 megawatts in 2021. This is more than $39 billion in infrastructure investment.
Those numbers are pointing to a continued bright future for renewable energy. Blattner is continuously looking to be part of something bigger as a leader in sustainability. We’re building a better tomorrow – for you, your family and the entire planet.
Blattner will keep being the leader in the renewable energy revolution. Now let’s get to work on building the next 200 gigawatts! Together, we’ll help give the world a brighter future.
